Pula has a very indented coast, unaffected nature and crystal clear sea. It is known as a city with the most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic. They are located in the large Brankoras Bay which is composed from numerous coves and islets, all the way up to Sandy Cove settlement in the east. Most of the beaches in Pula are maintained and easily accessible and are located in the vicinity of the resorts and hotels. Most of them have free parking. For nature lovers and people who want seclusion, there are many smaller beaches hidden in the Mediterranean vegetation, far from the city crowds and views. Inside the Pula Bay, there are no beaches for swimming, because of the industry and sea traffic. Most of the beaches are rocky and gravel with a few sand beaches. Entrance is free without charge. There are also specially marked beaches where pets are allowed. Many of the beaches have been awarded with a Blue Flag, which is prove of clear sea and great facilities.
