In the city of Pula there are few clubs and night bars promoting nightlife but most of them are open on weekend and one is open the whole week. Many people from Pula visit the city surrounding villages like Medulin, Pješčana Uvala, Premantura because there are a number of sociable nightlife ventures. The exception of all that is the fact that over the past decade, Pula has become a famous destination because of some of the largest and best festivals in Europe which are visited by tens of thousands of people each year. The place where they are being held is Fort Punta Christo – old Austrian-Hungarian fort built in the beginning of the 19th century, which is located several kilometers away from Pula.
