Lightning giants are a unique, modern installation, which is used to light the shipyard cranes, forming a work of art. The author of the project is a world famous designer Dean Skira, the owner of the Lumenart company from Pula. Lightning giants have been installed in the largest Croatian shipyard, Uljanik in Pula, with the help from the city of Pula, Ministry of Tourism, Arenaturist, Uljanik and others. Even though the project of the crane lightning has begun in 2000, it has been realized 14 years later, on the 4th of May for the town’s day celebration, and the final night of Visualia Festival.
