Liznjan is a village located to the southeast of Pula. It is located on the slope terrain which lowers seaward around 2 km northwest to the Kuje Bay, which is also a natural harbor. The main characteristic of this place is its beautiful unspoiled nature and stunning view of the open sea. The name of this village has been connected with the Roman family name of Licinius (Licinianum). In written records, the earliest mention of the name was in 1149 as Lisianum.
