Restaurant Gina Pula

Restaurant Gina opened in 1969 and since that time, it have remained true to the intention of providing the citizens of Pula and their guests with authentic, high-quality sincere food, prepared the same way we have prepared it for ourselves.

This is attributable to mother Gina, restaurant’s driving force. The younger generation has taken over management from her, but she did convey 60 years of working experience to us and can still be found moseying around the kitchen.

We bake our own bread, use our own Istrian olive oil and deal with family suppliers who provide us with premium fresh ingredients. We have prepared dishes like crab ravioli, beefsteak in a Teran sauce and lavender semifreddo for our guests since almost our beginnings.

The traditional idea of the restaurant is matched by its traditional design. A dozen tables surrounding the fireplace provide an intimate and relaxing air with a view of Stoja Bay – particularly attractive in the evening, at sunset. We call ourselves a restaurant, but our atmosphere makes us what reflects our region’s gastro story – an Istrian oštarija (tavern).

We intend to stay as we are, traditional. Not because we lack ambition in our gastronomy, but because what we do here has been in our blood for generations. We would like to share this passion with you.
