Pula General Hospital

Pula General Hospital is the central and the largest Istrian health institution. Pula General Hospital is situated in the center of the City of Pula and today employs more than 1,200 employees. More than 160 000 inhabitants of the Istrian county gravitates to the City of Pula General Hospital.  The hospital annually performs about 8,000 modern surgical procedures and hospitalize about 20 000 patients from all over the County of Istria. Throught the polyclinic services annually pass more than 400 000 people. The hospital medics and doctors perform the most complex and most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using modern medical technology.

Pula General Hospital

Today, the hospital counts about 150 doctors and over 500 nurses. It houses more than 600 hospital beds in a total of 17 medical activities. The Pula hospital is the only county hospital operating on two sites – Pula General Hospital and Navy Hospital, and this fact complicate the work oranisation and procedure of medical personnel and treatment of patients. This is the main reason of the construction of a new hospital which finally began. When at the beginning of 2018, the new hospital wil be completed, it will greatly reduce operating costs and will significantly improve the conditions of treatment for two hundred thousand Istrians.

General Hospital in Pula
