Sacred rock in Pula

Sacred rock – “Sveta Stijena” is a wall of an improvised church that is locate on St Ivan Cape near Hotel Park on Verudela Peninsula in Pula. The legend says that in the very spot there was a church which were destroyed in the storm. Not so long ago, the wall was rebuilt for the movie shooting. In time, Sacred rock – Sveta Stijena has become a symbol of Verudela and Pula and a place that is visited by romantic couples, sunset lovers and married couples. Because of the height of the cliff, it attract adrenaline fans, who jump from the cliff. In the end of 2008, wall was once again demolished in the storm, but it was reconstructed. There is a unique sight from Sacred rock – Sveta Stijena, and the sunset is a real attraction.
